About Us

Verwood Optical Services is owned by Andy Pearce FBDO CL SMC(tech), a Qualified and Registered Contact Lens/Dispensing Optician, who is also qualified as an Optical Technician with over 22 years experience in the optical profession.

Based in Verwood, we aim to offer an alternative option to the local community and surrounding areas, simply by supplying spectacle frames and lenses from a non commercial environment, and by doing so reduce the cost that you pay.

No fancy practice, just years of experience and a passion for honesty.

We'll spend the time that is needed to evaluate your true optical needs.  Tell us where you experience vision problems and we'll offer lens options that provide solutions for you.

If you simply want new glasses then we can help you.

How it works

We do not test eyes, we simply offer a spectacle frame and lens dispensing service by Qualified and Registered Contact Lens/Dispensing Opticians.

Because this service is being provided from home there are no expensive display costs to factor in.  We stock a range of about 300 frames with a price range from £15 - £60.

Spectacle lens prices are kept to a minimum as we endeavour to remain competitive at all times.

We can come to your home if easier

  • If it is more convenient, we will come to your own home and bring a comprehensive selection of frames for you to view.  We do not make a charge for this service as long as you live within the Verwood, Ringwood, Ferndown, Wimborne or Bournemouth area.
  • We will also deliver your spectacles to you if required,  Free of Charge.
  • Over time spectacles can become loose, so as part of our free aftercare service we will visit you at a convenient time to adjust the spectacles to your satisfaction.
